## Description

Following several phenomenal shows at this years SXSW, an incredible tour with the Naked And Famous and two packed shows at Camden Crawl and Great Escape, Wolf Gang has hit the road for a full UK tour in support of the eagerly-anticipated debut album 'Suego Faults' set for release on 11 July. Wolf Gang's recent single 'Dancing with the Devil' has had over 55,000 downloads after being picked as iTunes 'Single of the Week' last week. The third single from the anticipated debut album will be 'The King And All of His Men' released just before the album on 4 July. Wolf Gang's SXSW debut was the talk of Austin and included packed shows at the NME Official Showcase, a show at the prestigious Fader Fort and finished off with a show at the Neon Gold/Chess Club party. Already creating a stir among music press in the UK and now in the US, Wolf Gang are well on the road to success - already being hyped by some of the best around including Spin, Fader and Pitchfork whilst in the UK he's had high-accolades from the Guardian, the Times and NME. The debut album was recorded with producer Dave Fridmann (MGMT, Mercury Rev, Flaming Lips) and showcases just what everyone is anticipating - a ferocious pop record with an abundance of suave panache, punchy beats and heart-throttling melodies. This album is one of Fridmann's rare collaborations with a UK artist, having heard a demo of 'Lions in Cages' he immediately invited Max out to record the track in Upstate New York and the rest as they say, is history.

Review: Great from listen #1 - I had heard "The King and All of his Men" on AltNation when I hijacked my dad's car for joyriding, etc. He prefers The Message and my brother will harass me if I choose a station besides "Lithium" but my New Years resolution was to stop listening to all my Coldplay CDs on repeat and expand my musical horizons. Wolf Gang is an incredibly stupid band name, but due to the enjoyment I received from listening to "The King and All of his Men" on AltNation, and later 103.7 (which is SO CLOSE to being a good radio station...)...I did something rather uncharacteristic and bought this entire CD without listening to all the tracks beforehand. I only rarely like a CD on first listen, and I hope it will hold up to the many, many listens I am planning to give it in the next couple of days. The singer's voice is distinctive without being grating. I have only listened to it once but the songs have great hooks and the songs are distinct from one another, which is a great quality in a band's music. Of course the whole CD sounds like it came from the same, great, band. One more thing, every CD should have a bang out, awesome, atmospheric closer. Think something really affecting, like Only in Dreams (Weezer), or Evaporated (Ben Folds Five)...something that brings everything to an end and leaves you filled to the brim with mood. Planets is the last track of this CD, and when it started over 3 minutes ago, I had a good feeling about how it would end. Awesomely, that is. My favorite CD of the week. My only sadness is that they are a UK band which makes their US touring likely sporadic. Houston loves you Wolf Gang!
Review: wolfgang - couple years ago watched Coldplay in Concert in Big D. Wolf Gang was Warm-up band. I knew the second I heard them that I liked the Sound. This music is some good Stuff. Like all the Songs on the Album (not an album one has to skip around on). Hit the play button and enjoy!!
