Depending on the texture you would like to achieve with frosting you may be able to blend it enough to add it but would probably have to cool it afterwards so that it sets better and can be worked, I would try with small amounts. Guava jelly might work better, but may also soften the consistency quite a bit. There may be some trial and error involved, but it could be worth a try, the guava flavor will certainly come through. :) **Q: Why did the price go up from $1.16 in December 2020 to $4.22 in January 2021? Really in less than a month!** A: I was wondering exactly the same thing, I just chocked when I try buy agin and saw the price. Can’t understand why it went up SO much in one month. So, I didn’t buy, and I will not. **Q: Is this product sticky and gooey, or can you cut it cleanly into slices?** A: This product is very sticky, but not gooey. I've been able to cut it into slices just fine, though handling it can make everything very sticky. **Q: can I use the guava paste if two or three months paste the use by date?** A: I mean you CAN do whatever you want to do. As long as it’s remained unopened in packaging and isn’t spoilt, might be ok. It’s pretty shelf stable but 2-3 months past expiration is pushing it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good *by on Reviewed in the United Arab Emirates 9 March 2026* Very good ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for guava and cheese pizza! *by on Reviewed in the United States 21 June 2026* I had a Roman-style pizza with guava paste and cheese recently and wanted to try making it at home. I used this, and it came out exactly how I was hoping. This one is really easy to work with. It comes as a solid block, so it’s easy to cut into pieces without making a mess. I had bought a different brand before that came in a round can, and I actually ended up cutting my hand trying to open it. This feels a lot safer to use.It tastes great and has that perfect sweetness to pair with cheese. It’s also pretty inexpensive, so it feels like a really good value for what you get. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I Love It! A Taste of Home *by on Reviewed in the United States 30 August 2026* I absolutely love this guava paste! The flavor reminds me so much of a traditional sweet from my home country, and it brings back such a wonderful feeling of nostalgia. It’s sweet, delicious, and perfect when I’m craving the flavors of home.
