**Q: Why can you not store a firearm in this safe?**
A: If your trying to protect a weapon during a fire/flood event, this safe will work.  But if its safe storage from other humans (big and small), this is not that secured.  Better to get a gun safe.

The safe was more bulky than what it appeared online, and the top did not seem to close real tight, which led me to believe that it would be easy to pry open. The safe does look really nice and I’m sure it is very durable but I didn’t feel comfortable with it and I went with something else.
