Review: Great product but with one practicality CAVEAT you need to know! - PROs: - It's thick and durable! Using it more than a year now and it tolerated even pizza cuts straight on it! (note it's not recommended) - In comparison with cooking paper, nothing gets through it! If you place it well, your pans and trays will stay clean! - Well designed in terms of size. For most oven pans fits well creating some border, this way ensuring juices/grease stays on it and does not slip into the pan. - Saves you some money on cooking paper, especially if you use it often. You can wash it well and relatively easy just if you have your sink always empty and you put it in the bottom of the sink so it stays flat. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you use this in the freezer to chill items before baking? Please don't reply if the answer is "don't know". :)**
A: Yes, you can.

**Q: It says not suitable with direct-fire ovens, does that mean I can't use it on my gas fire oven (where there is a flame at the back of the oven)?**
A: As long as the flames do not touch near the mat,  it should be fine.
Just don’t put it in direct flames.   Hope that helps you.

**Q: Are these mats BPA free?**
A: I thought I’d better add some more information in case anyone still reading these answers ends up believing this mat is made of pure silicon!  Silicone (with an “e”) is made of silicon (as in the element on the periodic table) and plastics (as in isn’t natural and therefore isn’t biodegradable). This mat might be BPA-free but it likely contains BPS instead. BPS is very similar to BPA, but it’s only BPA that’s being boycotted.  If you don’t like BPA, you’re really not going to like BPS either.

**Q: What size in mm are both the macaron circles please**
A: There are no macaron, or any other, circles printed on these mats. They're plain and undecorated.
