Gorilla Rugs are a convenient solution for almost any project or repair. Sandpaper and paint friendly Simply put, they are the strongest adhesive on earth. How to use: 1.Prepare the adhesive surface and slightly moisten the surface: All surfaces must be clean, dust-free and well matched. For glossy surfaces such as metal, glass and plastic, please coarse the surface so that the adhesive will adhere well. Lightly wet one side of the surface to be adhered with water. We recommend using a damp cloth or spray with water. Do not fully submerge the surface in water. For dense hard wood, lightly moisten both surfaces before gluing. 2. Apply glue to the other dry surface evenly Apply carefully. Do not over paint. It is recommended to wear gloves or spread the glue with a disposable brush. 3.Clamp on two surfaces Ensure the pressure caused by the clamp is evenly distributed across the entire surface. I have tried thinners, turpentine, meths,petrol & hand cleaner.** A: The brown, expanding Gorilla glue, can be removed from hands or work with acetone, before it sets. Once it starts to set, (pretty much immediately), it can be removed only by mechanical means (scraping). A great glue for models but keep the acetone at the table. **Q: Will this work on vinyl?** A: polyurethane glue sticks to practically everything - including your skin and clothing. One thing you should know about it is that as it dries, Gorilla Glue expands when it cures, creating a foam 3x thicker than the original application. If you are trying to seam-seal vinyl flooring, this would not be a good choice. **Q: How can I keep the glue in the container from drying out once I open the glue container?** A: It does not dry out easily. It sets up with atmospheric moisture, and a little of that moisture goes a long way. I go along with the squeeze-all-the-air-out method, but know that once you cut that spout, the bottle of glue's days are numbered even if you are VERY careful. Silicone caulk also sets with moisture, and I keep partial tubes in the hard freezer. It works well. Maybe if you freeze polyurethane? **Q: Can I use this to add tile to painted sheetrock?** A: The glue swells as it dries, it would not be suited for gluing anything together that you would want to be perfectly flat and can not vice together.
