Designed for easy melting in a water bath, this 16-ounce pouch refills your HOT TUB device up to 4-5 times, delivering up to 500 miles of smooth, quiet riding per application. Trusted by cycling pros and featured in top bike media, it’s the cleanest, longest-lasting chain care solution made in Seattle. ## Description For the past two years running, Velo Magazine has done head-to-head ratings of all the top chain lubricants on the market. Melted paraffin wax treatments beat them all. Our Runaway Bike HOT TUB is the easiest way to experience this same melted paraffin wax lubrication treatment. With our HOT TUB, you no longer have to melt wax in a slow-cooker or risk ruining a nice pot. Simply put your chain in the HOT TUB and heat the entire container in a water bath on your stove. With our combination of paraffin and other lubricants, your chain will be the cleanest and quietest it can be. People have attempted to get the same lubrication as paraffin with messy wet squeeze-bottle lubricants, but none come close to the real thing. Each HOT TUB application should last approximately 500 miles, depending on riding conditions. Each HOT TUB should treat your chain 5 or more times. We know that it is more work to remove, clean, and lubricate your chain... but if you want to do it right (and enjoy tinkering), there's no better way to keep your bike happy.*** NOTE: Be sure to watch the entire boiling process closely. Don't let all of the water in your water bath completely boil away while the lubricants are melting. This can result in the tub itself melting into the pot.Hey! After years of requests, we also now offer a bulk version of our tried-and-true paraffin lubricant for either refilling your existing HOT TUB or for use in a slow cooker dedicated to chain lubrication. The refill pouch works great to fill a dedicated slow-cooker... or can refill your HOT TUB 4-5 times. Either way you go, the refill will provide enough lovely lubrication for a couple dozen treatments.Featured on Bike Radar and the Seattle Bike Blog!
