D'Addario makes a good string and I find they last a long time. I highly recommend! **Q: I bought these for my son and the first two strings broke when he was putting them on. We are on the third set in twenty minutes** A: When you put on a string, you have to allow enough slack for the string to coil around the tuner post. Feed the string through and leave enough slack so you can pull the string about 4 inches above the fret board and then slowly wind it up and as it tightens, pause once in a while let the string stretch. Some strings can take a day to stretch, some don't. Be patient. Good luck...but if you don't leave slack for coiling strings will break. **Q: What 0.10-0.27 means? what is high strung tuning? is it a regular string set for acoustic guitar? and is this set light, medium or hard? thank you** A: In “high-strung tuning” (also known as “Nashville tuning”), the bottom four strings are tuned an octave higher than standard tuning, like the second set of strings on a 12-string guitar. The top two strings are pitched to standard tuning. Because the strings are a thin gauge, they are by definition light gauge.
