We had one that looked exactly like this one, but it stopped working after many years. The new tide clock is gold plastic vs metal but looks okay. Our complaint was there were no screws to mount it, which meant a trip to the hardware store. The screws need to be small but long enough to attach to wall. Mounting was a problem since the design impedes screwing them in easily.. You think it will match those same clocks in your boat or den. Well, I should have read the other reviews. It is a very thin, almost gold plastic-looking (with the light weight to match) small dialed clock. It's tiny! And it is extremely light and thin. So, look elsewhere. You will have to pay more for the real thing, but if you want a little clock that looks and feels like a toy, here it is.
