I leave my handles attached when using the EZ Curl bar to make it easier to switch between exercises. **Q: What is the max weight capacity?** A: The GR8 Flex gym system has a weight capacity of 450 lbs so they wouldn't have included in their total gym package if it could not hold up to the weight capacity.
