It is made from thinner metal (17 ga) than similar products on Amazon (14 ga) but the way the panels are stamped make it feel just as rigid and shouldn't be a problem. It comes with spacers and longer M4 bolts which is very useful given how deeply recessed the mounting plates are on monitors these days. Regarding the blocking of ports. There are some reviews that claim that this blocks exhausts or ports. This is not true, and it means they installed one side backwards or wish to have one end opened for easy post-install insertion or removal. The only issue I can see is that it will not work with a Mac Mini which has an optical drive (Mid 2010 or earlier).
