A: Yes but do not connect the aluminum directly to the switch. Connect the switch to 6" copper leads, then used a compression type (twist-on) connector to connect the copper wire to the aluminum wire. The connectors MUST be labelled as suitable for both AL (aluminum) and CU (copper).
