### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install and wifi connecting easy too.
*by P***D on 16 January 2025*

The media could not be loaded. Sonoff Basic R2 Easy to install and wifi connecting easy too using the eWeLink app. I connected these in around 10 minutes on my garden room LED downlights and it was so easy. This also included connecting to WiFi via the eWeLink. These work perfectly via Alexa too as you can see from my video. I have aso installed them on my external lights and set a schedule via Alexa. These have saved me a fortune on expensive downlights with connectivity or bulbs and I can highly recommend them. Great product and great value and quality.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install but wireless config needs thinking about!
*by M***S on 20 November 2022*

If you are looking for 240v wireless switch, controlled by App or Echo or in my case using Homekit on Apple and Homebridge to integrate, look no further! Live and Neutral connect at one end from the power source and then on the other side connect live and Neutral to the appliance. I use these to control a number of devices, extractor fans, driveway lights and a battery charger. You can easily integrate into the Echo ecosystem using a skill or use the app, if you are up for it check out Homebridge if you want it in Apple Homekit. Connecting it to the wireless network, it couldn't see it using the automated scan tool, so in the end did it through its a legacy option, still don't get it, but after a quick Google found the answer. Once it's done, its easy to manage. Recommend you trim the cables so the clamp drops down on it perfectly to prevent the cables from possibly slipping, practice makes perfect so try it on some old cable first to get the length right, but took me 5 mins to wire it in, and then 10 minutes to add it to wireless (including my google search). Should have no need to touch it again once its configured.Footnote - The reason the auto scan didn't work is all to do with the capability of the built-in 2.4Ghz radio, so what i did was indeed what Sonoff recommends and why they have it in the app!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A little bulky and ugly but fully functional.
*by G***S on 30 May 2024*

I wanted to integrate my Anglepoise lamp & a bedside lamp with an existing torpedo switch into my Home Assistant setup and these seemed like the best option.Installation is straightforward with a pair of screw-down terminals under the covers at either end. It is not clear from the pictures but the four visible screws are not part of the terminal blocks - they are electrically isolated therefrom and simply hold the covers on. There are mounting holes in the base under the covers if you need to mount the unit. There is no passthrough for an earth wire so they are not suitable for three-core cable - only for two-core which in the UK means low power devices such as lamps, USB-powered and other low-voltage DC PSUs etc.The terminals are a little fiddly given the size of the case and the circuit board is not particularly well anchored but once assembled with the cables clamped by the covers the result is pretty solid.I might have preferred if the label were on the base rather than the top and if they'd provided blanking plugs to cover the cover screws and the manual button is a little small for use as a torpedo switch.Sonoff use the eWeLink app and pairing was easy, exposing controls for the switch, the LED, inching settings and offline alerts as well as firmware upgrade and LAN control options. Control is local (i.e. no Internet connection required) when the app's device is on the same LAN as the switch or cloud-based when remote. The HACS local Sonoff integration in Home Assistant exposes most of the same functionality.
