The tiny serrations are barely noticeable but they absolutely cut through everything. Like all OXO good grips products, the grip is freaking awesome, it's soft and textured and is even to hold even if your hands are slippery. The herb stripper is one of the coolest ideas ever and it makes stripping Rosemary so easy, I'm not sure about cilantro yet but I plan to try that soon, either way they blow the Farberware scissors from my old knife block they're replacing out of the water (which admittedly isn't hard to do). Highly recommend. I have a growing collection of OXO Good Grips stuff and I've been really happy with all of it so far. Their Salt and Pepper grinders are also super top notch. For 20 bucks, I don't think you can do any better, I checked out some of the larger brand's models and they seem less comfortable and no more durable for twice the money. I also like that the blades come apart, it makes them really easy to clean, I imagine easy to sharpen too, but with the serrations I doubt sharpening will be necessary any time soon (if ever).
