Review: strongest compost bags so far - These are the strongest compostable trash bags I've found so far. They are part of my subscribe and save. I empty them out when they're 1/2 full because bugs still start if you leave food in them for a full week. These bags have NEVER leaked or busted on me compared to the other thinner ones I've tried. Our county has 3 pick-ups on trash day: 1) trash; 2) recycle and 3) compost. if you don't separate it out, you can get fined. Because of the compost can, my weekly trashcan is never full. I'll keep using these bags until they stop selling them or something else better comes along.

We have been using these for more than a year and have had maybe one bag that leaked. I am impressed with these and hope they truly are compostable so I can feel a bit better about having to put things in the trash. We compost most food here so there is not that much wet/moist food that is put in these bags usually but even when we have had that, the bags have held up. They are easy to open, have no scent and seem to be one of the better values when you do the math. They are also unusually thick compared to their plastic counterparts - which I like.
