## Description

Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, and gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it. For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly twenty years ago. Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded. Wouldn't you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you? Mitch Albom had that second chance. He rediscovered Morrie in the last months of the older man's life. Knowing he was dying of ALS - or motor neurone disease - MItch visited Morrie in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college. Their rekindled relationship turned into one final 'class': lessons in how to live. TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE is a magical chronicle of their time together, through which Mitch shares Morrie's lasting gift with the world.

Review: A compelling read - “The truth is, once you learn how to die, you learn how to live.” If that statement doesn’t make you think, Tuesdays with Morrie might not be the book for you. Hello everyone ! Today I am back with another book review where I am going to put my heart out for this book, “Tuesdays with Morrie” by Mitch Albom. Mitch Albom’s memoir serves as a beautiful, profound, and quietly tragic reminder of what truly counts. This book shares a true narrative of Albom’s last “class” with his beloved college professor, Morrie Schwartz, who is terminally ill with ALS. Each Tuesday, Albom visits Morrie’s home to soak in the wisdom of a man who’s facing death with clarity, humor, and astonishing grace. They discuss everything from love and work to family, aging, forgiveness, and, of course, death—the kinds of subjects we tend to put off until it’s too late. Albom’s transformation, in addition to Morrie’s wisdom, is what makes this book so compelling. The text isn’t particularly dazzling. The writing is quite simple . However, the book’s simplicity is what gives it its emotional impact. Reading this book felt like a sincere discussion, the kind we wish we had with our own teachers or grandparents long ago. It won’t be wrong if i describe it as nostalgic or even saccharine. In an age of cynicism, Tuesdays with Morrie dares to be earnest. It dares to say that love matters more than money, that time is more valuable than status, and that dying well is the final lesson in living well. Tuesdays With Morrie isn’t meant to amaze you. It is just a reminder. Reminder of what exactly is important in life.
Review: A Healing Masterpiece for the Modern World - Tuesdays with Morrie is truly a life-lesson book — a kind of 21st-century Genesis or Holy Grail for anyone trying to navigate modern life. In a world where we are so caught up in materialistic pursuits, we often forget the basic and essential things that actually matter. This book brings you back to those roots with warmth, clarity, and depth. It resonates deeply with today’s young generation, but it is just as meaningful for people of all ages. I genuinely hope others find the same peace and comfort in it that I did. It’s a perfect recommendation — a solid 10 out of 10. For anyone going through a tough time, needing healing, or simply wanting to slow down, this book is a therapeutic balm.Reading it felt like meditation to me. It brought a sense of calm that stayed with me long after I closed the pages. A must-read for every soul seeking clarity, comfort, and a reminder of what truly matters.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ "BOOK REVIEW OF TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE"
*by S***L on 6 May 2026*

“Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, A Young Man and Life's Greatest Lesson” is a memoir written by the American author Mitch Albom. It was published in 1997. It is basically a series of visits the author Mitch Albom made on Tuesdays to his professor Morrie Schwartz, who was dying of the illness called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). They discussed topics such as regrets, death, family, emotions, money, the fear of aging, marriage, love, culture, forgiveness, etc., which are put into separate chapters in the book. Mitch used to bring Morrie’s favorite food daily, thinking that one day they would be able to have their favorite food together like they used to, and then he waited for Charlotte (Morrie’s wife) to let him know that Morrie was ready to talk and meet him. This was how he used to spend his Tuesdays recording each conversation and saving each memory forever. This book explores themes of death, love, family, culture, etc., and it beautifully touches on all of them. My favorite lines in this book are when Morrie told Mitch that if he could have another son, it would be Mitch and when he told Mitch that he is a good soul. These lines actually touched me and made me a bit teary. ***This book is special to me because it reminded me of my deceased grandparents. The catheter, the smell of lotions and medicines and an almost dead body lying on the bed. There were a lot of moments where I could actually picture my grandparents. A thought/ reflection of mine: “Spend most of your time with the people you love, express your love, respect and care for them, share memories with them, basically do everything possible for them because you never know when time may pass and they will have gone forever.” HAPPY READING :) Rating: 4 and a half stars
