Relative to the size of the unit itself the speaker is surprisingly powerful and clear. It is made for the US market so the AC power cord is no use here unless you have a step-down transformer and plug adapter. But this was not a concern for me since portability is important for me, so I only use this with batteries anyway. Would've been great if it had short wave. Can't have everything, I guess. And I always use it on AC. Ask seller once which model they have. **Q: Does this work with 220 v ac ?? I want only 220 v ac model..** A: I have received model which works on 230 volts. So I believe it is not a 220v model. But It will still run on this nearby voltage. **Q: As aa size batteries have very less life , does it support bigger um size cell.** A: You might but need separate container and wires and connections to do it.
