They move a lot of air but they tend to be a bit noisy. When I want a lot of moving air or I want white noise for a sleep, those fans are great. For TV I want much less airflow and much less noise. I already have a similar one in my water pump, but this one,in the description says it doesn't support it, why?** A: You have to start the motor at 100% and then back it down to the desired RPM. I am running a one horsepower buffer on mine and you can definitely tell when you put too much pressure on it that the motor wants to stall. But working with the manufacturer I was satisfied with the solutions they provided. ### ⭐ Worked perfect until the day after the return window closed. *by R***Z on 11 June 2026* This AC Variable Speed Controller delivered exactly one thing reliably: failure at the most inconvenient possible moment. The on/off switch lasted just long enough to outlive the return window, then immediately gave up. No warning, no gradual decline—just a clean, decisive break the very next day. You almost have to respect that level of precision. If there isn’t a built-in expiration timer, it’s doing an excellent impression of one. While it technically worked for a short period, that now feels more like a trial run than actual ownership. At this point, calling it a “controller” seems optimistic—it’s more of a temporary suggestion.
