This device allows me to monitor temp's in two key scenarios; monitoring the temp in my camping van fridge while camping and keeping an eye on the the overall temp in my van while just parked. When camping I place the sensor in my fridge & place the display where I can easily see it while driving or camping. During the off season, primarily in the winter, I keep the display in my house & the sensor is placed in the middle of the van. In the winter, I like to warm the van up using the propane heater before departing. With this device I can monitor the temp in the van from my house. I placed the batteries in it last year & they seem to be still going strong. The Van is about 60 feet from the house & I've had no problems getting a reading. On the down side, I wish the display had a high/low alarm & I wish it had a light so I can see it in dim/darker situations. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Works great from a room away *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2014* Works great from a room away.
