Review: Way stronger than I imagined. Bought this and mounted it to a single recliner. Started the movie with my buttkicker amp at half power. The transducer sounded like it was going to blow up my chair and shook me to my bones. I turned the amp down to about 15%with high pass cutoff at 50hz and it blends very well with my SVS sub. I am sad though that there isn't a way to mount this to 2 of my recliners at once. That is not buttkicker fault though but my chairs. I will have to fork up another 350 for my wife's chair, sigh
Review: I have a home theater and I have installed the Aurora bass shakers in the past... they work OK and give you some good feedback. Then I stepped it up and invested in the Buttkicker LFE.. I have 2 rows of 3 theater seats and I bought 1 LFE for each row. I mounted them to the frame under the middle non-reclining seat (see pictures) and I am driving these 2 in a series by the Dayton SA1000 amplifier. This is a great setup, I generally only need to have the gain at around halfway to drive a great experience in the 2 seats. I got creative mounting these because I knew they needed to be solid... so I found these aluminum 1" extrusion bars from "8020" and mounted them to the frames with T-nuts. Overall, I don't see how this could have been done any better and I am very happy with the outcome. Remember if you run more than 1 Buttkicker LFE on a single amp, run the wires in a "series" to get the most out of the amp.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: will one of these be suitable for a u shaped sectional couch? Each sectional (5 pieces) is attached by only a metal linkage.**
A: In your case, in all probability, only the section that the Buttkicker is mounted to will experience any significant shaking since you need a really SOLID mechanical connection between the Buttkicker and the sofa, and between the sections to transmit the vibrations.  It would be a good idea to check out some of the YouTube videos on mounting Buttkickers to sofas/chairs.  BTW, I recommend mounting the Buttkicker to the frame of the sofa, rather than using the Under-leg Mounting Kit.   The reason is that when the device is mounted to the frame of the sofa, you get forces transmitted to the structure on both the upward and downward strokes of the Buttkicker internal piston, whereas when you use the under-leg mounting method, the Buttkicker is driving its force into the floor with little motion for half of each cycle.

**Q: How many of these bad boys do I need to power a row of 4 home theater seats? 4? Or can I get away with 2?**
A: As long as the seats are attached solid you would be fine with 2 BK-LFE.  You would also require an amplifier to power them.

**Q: What is the best amp for this. Try to be spacific.**
A: I called and talked with ButtKicker, they said the Dayton SA-1000 was the best and was equal to thwir amps. There is a company called Partsexpress.com with the best price, 398.00

**Q: Where would you mount this in a car? Also how would you mount this to a car?**
A: Typically in the trunk.  It's too tall for anywhere else.  But it's not your best choice for a car anyhow; this thing requires a LOT of power.  It's moving a big piston.  And it's heavy, while you want your car light for performance.
An Aurasound or Clark Synthesis transducer is smaller, easier to mount to your seat's underside and more power-efficient.  They won't -thump- as much, but they're better choices.
