I usually swap phones every 1.5-2 years and that's how long I keep my cases. These cases have lasted and only have minor scratches. I will keep buying this brand as long as the quality remains the same. Who is this case for? It's for people who value protection over looks. I personally think the case looks nice and low profile. It's not flashy and it's a nice matte black. It is somewhat bulky compared to other cases. I, however, value protection over a sleek case that lacks that. So if you want to show the world you have an iPhone, this case isn't for you. If you want to live without worrying about cracking your phone, this is the case for you. I've dropped my phone about 4 times from waist height and so far nothing has cracked. Also, I'm using a screen protector and I had no issues. I'm not using a tempered glass screen protector.
