I chose this brand because I still have mine from high school and it’s in perfect condition. Very high quality! Review: Just What I Needed AND Wanted - This is not my first Dakine backpack. I liked the first one because it fit under an airplane seat nicely, but the front pocket was awkward and there was nowhere to put a water bottle. This also fits under the seat but has not one, but two easy-to-access pockets that don't hold me up in the TSA precheck line. And I love the color. My carryon is "Begonia" pattern, and for a while Dakine had a color called "Dark Rose" that went well with it. Problem was, "Dark Rose" photographed a lot lighter than its real color, which is a deep, claret-wine shade. THIS is really that sort of dark rose/coral shade, and it still blends nicely with my carryon bag. The only negative for me was that it doesn't have a strap in back that slips over a suitcase handle - but I sewed one on. Now it's absolutely perfect.
