It works beautifully, all problems that i've been having with the default tensioner are gone completely. I never have to adjust my tensioner anymore because if there is a big bump, the spring goes to work instead of the tensioner bending in weird ways.Now, if you are having problems with the spring tensioner catching the chain once you try to start the engine(causing you to skid to a hault) you are putting it on wrong. Do not put it on how they do in the image because the spring is way to weak to handle the forces without making the pully go down too far and catch the bolt connecting the pivotting bar.What you need to do is put the tensioner on the other way. The pully should be towards the engine, with the spring towards the sprocket on the back wheel. This way, once you peddle up to speed and release the clutch, the chain and pully have nothing in the way and can go down as much as it needs, and the engine starts. After i did this, i've never had problems starting the engine and the chain never gets caught anywhere.You might need to cut the chain down to do this though. I would also make sure that the spring has some tension when you put the chain on. This way, there will be no slack in the chain, the slack for bumps is provided by the rest of the spring. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Usable but I had to make improvements *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on February 29, 2016* I had two problems with this spring tensioner one of which was that the bolt behind the pulley will stick out too far. My chain got wrapped around it and rounded it off. My solution was to make my own more narrow bolt. Second was when I would pop the clutch to start the motor it would put so much force on the spring that it would pull the tensioner back too far & once threw off my chain. I fabricated a sheet of stainless steel to catch the pulley arm only letting it back enough to let some tension out of the chain. My overall review is that this tensioner is usable but in my case I had to make it work, it wasn't just a bolt on and be done with it kind of deal. Note that my bicycle is a Schwinn Stingray frame so my problems may only be unique to my setup ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Instructions missing, Allen bolt head interferes slightly. *by C***6 on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on May 29, 2019* No instructions but simple enough to get on even with trial and error. Was sketchy about the arm being mounted in a slot rather than a hole due to issues with the one that came stock with my engine, bit got it nice and tight. And the arm still moves with ease. Mounting on the bottom instead of the top causes a slight issue with the chain clipping the bolt head on the roller, but an easy fix with a new bolt.
