It's got the right idea, being inflatable and thus easily taken on airplanes. But it has a serious downside, especially given its fairly hefty $50 price tag. Its biggest problem is that it has sharp plastic edges all around its perimeter which scratch my legs when I sit on it. This problem is especially pronounced in the area near the valve, which I have to position between my legs so that the open space is over my tailbone. This cushion's design is a good, but it very much needs a comfortable, absorbent, protective material as a cover. As it is, one form of discomfort (back pain) is being replaced with another (scratchiness). I may try to test putting a blanket over it - but that's yet another carry-on item that I don't want to pack when traveling. Please someone make an inflatable, comfortable, easily packed seat cushion for long car and plane rides for people with lower back and/or tailbone pain!! ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Sciatica Reliefe Cushion didn't do the job *by L***E on Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2015* My wife suffers from sciatica, especially bad while sitting for long periods of a time in two of our cars. This is bad because we often like to take long, multiple day trips in our classic 1957 T-Bird. So before going on the next long trip in a couple of months, we purchased four different pain relief cushions, including the Sciatica Relief Cushion. Sorry to say that it did no better than any of the other three cushions, and she started getting pain after about 20 to 25 minutes of riding in the car. So it did not prevent the pain from coming, nor once the pain started, it did not help relieve it, so we sent it back. I'm sure this kind of cushion may help some people, but not my wife.
