I can do the chef thing and wield a knife but this makes the process just too fast, clean and easy--it really is a better mousetrap. Toss in a hunk of onion (or pepper or whatever) and slap away. Perfect quick chop, all confined to the chopper. Count your "slaps" and repeat for every batch for extremely consistent results.

It operated smoothly and easily chops everything. I do have to cut hard nuts like Brazil and Macadamia nuts in half so I thought that was the only problem with the Slap Chop. If I just cut a few things it would work fine. Not So!! I have tried other choppers and not been satisfied usually because of the amount they chopped (not enough) or because the blade didn't fit into a cup that holds the food... but all of them Chopped!! The Slap Chop Does not chop.

**Q: Does this also come with the Graty mentioned in the review video?**
A: no, it does not.

**Q: is the snapshot chopper dishwasher safe**
A: I can't be sure since I don't own a dishwasher but knowing the product personally for years I don't see any reason it would not be fine to put in the dishwasher. Beware, there are a few issues with the slapchop: it is not sharp enough to chop all the way through most veggies and may still be connected by the bottom layer of skin. Also the clear-ish blade protector doesn't stay in place. Does save time though.

I love my Slap Chop! I am a newly wed and was always so scared and timid to chop up vegetables etc. with a knife. Finally, from lack of experience and being overly timid, I ended up cutting my hand incredibly bad. A friend suggested I get a Slap Chop. I was skeptical...thinking it would be cheap and not really work. But let me tell you--it works! I rarely use anything but my Slap Chop when it comes to chopping. It is easy to use and easy to clean. The blades are sharp enough to cut through carrots, nuts, garlic--you name it. It used to take my forever to prepare recipes that had chopped ingredients--now I'm choppin' like a pro! The only problem I have had with it is using it to mince things such as garlic. The blades, even though they rotate, are just too far apart to do a good job mincing. However, it isn't designed to mince, it is designed to chop--hence the name. I love this product and will give it to other new brides!
