I have used these pens on rock, glass, cork, paper, ceramic and now plastic, they work great! I will always recommend doing a test on whatever material you will be using, if at all possible, just to be safe. Comes off with rubbing alcohol if you make a mistake ;) **Q: If using to paint rocks which will be left outside does the painted rock need to be baked or sealed to be permanent?** A: It is an oil base paint so it does stay on the rock but if you want to make it last for a long period I would suggest you use a clear coat to seal your work on the rock Mike **Q: You mention ceramics, will it work if used on bisque ware and fired in a kiln to cone 5?** A: How can an something described as an “acrylic paint” pen possibly make a mark that will survive firing in a kiln? The lack of a direct answer to questions on this point (the manufacturer or seller implies that it can be kiln fired but dies not give specifics) leads me to believe that it’s buyer beware if you want to try this product on ceramics you then fire, There are plenty of other products that will work. Don’t believe the nonsense about testing. You have to buy these to test them and then your money is gone. **Q: Can you use this with a cricut explorer 2?** A: Hello! Yes, these oil-based paint pens can be used with a Cricut Explorer 2. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Crafting *by K***X on August 26, 2026* Cool colors ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good color variety, great price. *by B***N on November 17, 2025* Fantastic markers. Nice color, good color variety, and great price. They aren't giant, so they will run out someday, but when they do, I'll buy this exact set again. I use them to paint details on 3d prints and they work very well ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Happy With This Purchase *by J***E on September 27, 2019* I've never used paint pens before. I really enjoy them. They are easy to use and don't run. They create nice solid lines. The only reason I'm docking a star is the light green randomly started leaking and made a mess. Not sure what happened, but it cleaned up okay and the pen still works. ## Frequently Bought Together - ARTISTRO 15 Oil-Based Permanent Paint Markers - Assorted Sets of Fine and Medium Tip Markers for Wood, Rock, Fabric, Glass, Ceramic, Metal, Plastic, and More - Quick Dry, Waterproof, Permanent - River Rocks for Painting 25 Pcs Large 2-3 Inch Flat Smooth Painting Stones Craft Rock to Paint for Kids Crafts Painting Bulk - ARTISTRO 30 Acrylic Paint Markers Medium Tip- Easy for All Ages & Levels Acrylic Paint Pens for Fabric, Rocks, Paper, Wood, Canvas, Glass, DIY --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/79321714-15-oil-based](https://www.desertcart.at/products/79321714-15-oil-based) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
