The tops of my boots were continuously getting burned off by sparks and slags, and sparks would sometimes find their way inside my boots and burn my socks. They are quite comfortable, protect your boots well, don't feel heavy, and are simple to put on. Nice, high-quality velcro straps are currently holding up really nicely. I like these they go on easy and protect my boots from weld splatter. After a couple months some stitching on the velcro came loose and the elastic band for under the boot came loose but they still do their job. I would buy them again.
