Anything below 7-8 is very workable. I'm setting it up as a dual system with a blast gate and splitter for humidity control, and also as an electronics fume extraction system, which is great for that purpose. Controller sticks onto magnetic surfaces so I did not need to mount it and put it on my metal garage shelving and placed the fan unit on the top shelf. It comes with very high-quality cables, and the packaging is also very well thought out; each thing is easy to find. There is endless functionality on the app, and you can customise and automate it through a variety of sensors and cases such as RH, temp, etc. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants a good quality and well-made inline fan that has all the features. Bought a cheaper fan first which was noisy & returned. The fan works best with hard plastic ducting as this carries virtually no sound compared to flexible ducting. It will work on 230/240v fine. I wired mine directly into boat mains supply. Have to say its a brilliant bit of kit. Quiet and powerful. The probe and auto start is a great function. **Q: Could this be used to extract heat from a room with a log burner to transfer the heat around the house?** A: Dont put it close to heat as its plastic but otherwise should work got enough extraction power. **Q: Hi does this have humidity control aswel or is it only the 6 inch thanks** A: No this one has it also you can set it that if it hits a certain humidity the fan kicks on to higher speed to reduce. Don’t know how effective it is because I have just run fan normally without setting high low temp or humidity **Q: Is it possible to turn on the T4 without using the temperature and humidity probe? can you manually change the fan's power without adding probe to th** A: Yes and yes. Mine is fitted to a yacht and boosts my ducted air heating. Just pick a trigger temp and set it and the fan will fire up at the required temp.
