There are plugs on the right speaker to accept inputs from two audio inputs, spdif fiber, and coax audio. You can select between these inputs or bluetooth with buttons on the remote control, as well as mute or power on/off the speakers. **Q: do i need a built in pre-amp turntable for these?** A: Yes, your turntable will need a preamp. **Q: I bought this one. Are there any product which can make it have better sound quality?** A: If you want to pay an a and a leg for speakers, there may be better souning ones. I bought them for a bedroom system, not my main entertainment system. Flat screens used to have ok sound, but know due to the almost "framelss" style they are very bad These speakers, greatly enhanced the sound for my Samsung flat screen.
