I was on the lookout for a bag that could carry a variety of items like my diving mask, mask cleaner, anchor, and water bottle, but the most crucial aspect was that it had to be easy to wash. Since I frequently go paddle boarding, I needed a bag that I could clean without the hassle of unpacking everything inside. This bag fits the bill perfectly. At 5'10", I find the bag, true to its name, quite large. However, it's lightweight and comfortable to carry, regardless of your height. You can fill it with as much or as little as you need, thanks to its spacious design. The top opening of the bag is impressively wide—you could easily fit a basketball inside. The bag also features two large zippered pockets on the front and an additional mesh pocket, which adds to its practicality. I chose the orange color for better visibility on the water, though there are plenty of color options available. After each paddle boarding session, I soak the entire bag in a 5-gallon freshwater bucket and let it air dry by hanging it with a fan. The mesh material allows it to dry completely within an hour, making it ready for the next adventure. The only drawback I’ve found is the lack of a waterproof pocket. While I understand this design choice, I still carry a separate dry bag for my car keys and phone to be safe. So far, I’ve taken this bag on ten paddle boarding trips in Florida. Despite falling into the water several times with the bag on my back, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it didn’t drag me down when I climbed back onto the board. The mesh material likely plays a role in reducing water resistance, to the point where I almost thought I’d lost the bag in the water.
