We have multiple makes/models of microscopes in our lab (compound, stereo zoom, etc), and outfitting each with traditional microscope cameras & software for image acquisition was getting old. Not to mention the image quality of traditional lab cameras can't really compete with the iphone camera (note - we are mostly using brightfield). This adapter is SO easy to use, fits securely on the phone, and keeps the camera centered exactly in the light path. Note that it doesn't screw onto microscope c-mount adapters, rather fits into the eyepiece tube. The camera holes are in slightly different positions. **Q: Does it fit for iphone x?** A: Don't think so, originally , each phone model has different lens position so adapter is bilt thinking in phone model lens position. We used it to record a video of a pathologist describing a specimen illustrating some malignancy.
