Review: Very Impressive Performance / Resiliance AND Super Simple Removal - Oct 2019: Purchased this product to cover large screens for older, larger condo insulated windows (30" x 50"). Was a little surprised that these were not heat the shrink type that I've used before for interiors. But the product was easy to install (took me about 15 minutes per screen), was easily able to stretch out wrinkles, and no problems unfolding / peeling the plastic open. There was actually enough double sided tape for 3 of my windows, plastic covered two. I've got some larger windows still to do, had to buy one pack for each of those, using the plastic sideways. I did my best to secure the tape to window (pressed around the screen frame with my thumb several times) and similarly the plastic once it was affixed to the tape. If it holds up, should do a good job creating a second vapor barrier and cutting down on drafts. May 2020: Removed the plastic this afternoon. First, all six plastic sheets were intact after a New England winter. Second, plastic removal was beyond simple - the plastic peeled away from the tape easily. The tape needed a little encouragement but by and large came off the aluminum frame in one piece and with no sticky residue. I'm a little shocked at how much of a non-issue removal was. I'm a fan for life!

A: We would not recommend this for use indoors. Instead we would suggest the 3M Indoor Insulator Film Mounting Tape.

A: The name pretty much sums it up. You'd choose the exterior version for exterior use...

**Q: What is the difference between the outdoor and indoor ones?**
A: The adhesive tape is designed to be weatherproof.

A: The plastic is .75 mil in thickness. It is stated on the box.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product for outdoors

Our problem area was a cluster of three single pane windows in one very large wall frame. The composite frame was too large for one plastic sheet to cover and the indoor window frame faces were on two planes. Fortunately the outdoor frames of the separate windows were all on one plane so two exterior kits were workable. Outdoor temperatures were problematic due to the time of year so, even though I waited until the thermometer said 51 degrees outside to do the installation, I used a double line of tape around the windows to increase the chances of getting good adherence to the wood frame. Plenty of tape is provided in the kit. Installation on the smaller window was a piece of cake. However, the only reason I don't award 5 stars to the product is because the plastic on the very large window has fairly permanent, angled creases (from being folded in the box) which are visible in the right light and inhibit the plastic from unfolding evenly. These creases make it necessary to do lots of repositioning trying to reduce puckering on the uncreased side as one side is effectively gathered up in the creases while the other side is not. Using a hairdryer to shrink the plastic to solve this problem is not recommended as there is a concern that the plastic may shrink too much and come loose, especially when sun can heat and shrink the plastic further. However, because no sun ever hits these windows I used the hairdryer sparingly but the puckers and creases remain. Ultimately, this is a very good product. It continues to hold a cushion of air between the glass and the outdoor temperatures. The puckers and creases are very minor annoyances (and only obvious in the right light) while the problem of cold and water condensation on the inside of the windows is hugely ameliorated. I highly recommend this product for the exterior when interior installation is not possible.
