About 2 1/2" to 3" long and about 1/16 diameter. Those aren't the exact spects, but are pretty close. **Q: Can this product be used to nickel plate an aluminum gun frame?** A: The bright nickel plating solution I received was contaminated with dead bugs and what looked like floor sweepings (sawdust and dirt) I would NOT use it to plate anything until it was perfectly clear, filtering through filter paper would be the first thing to do. But trying to electroplate aluminum is especially difficult because it oxidizes so quickly forming a "skin" preventing the plating. instead you must first do an immersion plating of zinc onto the aluminum from a highly alkaline tank containing a high concentration of zincate (Zn(OH)4-2. It is good practice to then strip this deposit away in nitric acid and re-apply it before commencing electroplating or electroless nickel plating. Typically the aluminum to be plated should be a particular grade of aluminum... I recived a soda bottle filled with crystals rather than a liquid. The soda bottle had been spray painted silver for some unknown reason. The anode is a section of 3/32nd rod about 3 inches long.
