The clay in my case removed paint overspray and sap wonderfully. **Q: After claying should you rinse or wash the car off or just go straight to waxing?** A: It's up to you, if you feel like there is a lot of debri left then rines it off. Not always necessary though. I went straight to waxing since the debri was wiped away with the cloth. Best of luck. **Q: will it remove varnish that got spilled on my hood?** A: It will not. I would not pick at it, as that could pull clear coat from under the varnish. Try first dish soap and a microfiber towel with warm water, just in case that works. Next, Goof Off solvent applied gently with a microfiber towel. You can't be too aggressive with it as it could begin to strip your car paint. You don't need to wipe it all off- just enough to loosen the varnush to wash it off with the dish soap and warm water. Once you do remove it, you'll probably need to apply a very mild polish, wipe it dry, wipe sparingly with 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water or wash with dish soap, dry, and wax or seal. **Q: Can you use the clay on a car that is already waxed?** A: Claying a car pulls anything bonded to the paint. Yes, you can clay a car that has already been waxed but it will remove the wax.
