**Q: How soon is the 3rd version supposed to come out? I don't want to purchase this one and then have the new one with updated features out soon**
A: Unsure on timing on V3 — but there will be an offer for owners of V1 and V2 to upgrade and get any new features at just a modest cost.

**Q: The smell must be bad after weeks accumulating waste. Can I dispose just the dirty side every couple days without throwing away the plastic spindle?**
A: We bought one roll and empty it every other day or so. We’ve never thrown the plastic rod away; instead, we create our own rolls using charcoal pee pads from Amazon. Flip them all face-side down and tape them. Take less than five minutes and saves you lots of money/smell!

**Q: Does the machine come with any pads?**
A: Yes, the machine comes with 1 roll.

**Q: What if the power goes out? Is there a backup power option?**
A: If the power goes out the machine will restart when power resumes. We don't offer a power backup option, but you can supply your own UPS if desired.
