A: I guess you could with the right pan.  I wouldn't roast marshmellows over it, the goo would ruin your rocks or fire glass

**Q: Our city permit is for 75,000 btu's.  what is this one btu's?  i don't want to go over and fail inspection????**

Works great, i added clips to the lid, puts out good flame and heat! I do however wish it came with the controls and ignitor
