Review: Ran hot, then died. - While I was formatting this for the first time, I noticed that it was running very hot. I mounted a heat sink on it and directed a fan at it, which kept it cool to the touch. Then, a day later, it went dead. My other SSDs work when plugged in to the same cable, but this one acts as if there is no drive attached. I am not going to try returning it because I peeled the label off before attaching the heat sink and I can't reasonably expect them to replace it after I modified it. So it looks like I am out of luck. I should have returned it instead of adding a heat sink. They are compatible on R450's and can handle either Sata or SAS interface (drives have the right notches for either).
