## Overview

The Precision Instruments PREC3FR250F is a 25.5-inch, silver split-beam torque wrench featuring a flex-head for enhanced accessibility. Engineered for professional-grade accuracy and durability, it offers fingertip torque adjustment without preload, making it ideal for automotive and industrial applications. With a 4.8-star rating from over 1,400 users, this American-made tool combines precision, comfort, and longevity in one sleek package.

## Description

Setting the tool requires only fingertip force since the adjustment mechanism is not under load. There is no need to 'work in' a C series torque wrench before using it the first time. Split-Beam Click Wrenches overcome many of the problems associated with micrometer-style clock wrenches in abusive environments.

Review: Great tool - Works great and acurate compared to my others. Built well. Easier to read #s and set torque.
Review: 95% the same thing as Snap-On made by the company that makes their dual beam torque wrenches for much less money. - Precision Instruments makes the dual beam torque wrenches for Snap-On. In fact this is almost identical to the Snap-On wrench. Other than the ratcheting head with a Snap-On logo and the handle color, they are identical. The Snap-On feels like it might have more teeth. For a 50-150 foot lb torque wrench, I don't really care about teeth. I paid about $150.00 for this and I think the Snap-On version of the same things is about $400 or maybe even more. The nice thing about this is that you flip only a spring loaded latch and adjust a single dial to set the torque. (then flip the protector latch thing back to ensure the setting doesn't change on you) The dial is clear and easy to read. It has Newton Meters and Foot Pounds. It is made in USA. It only works in forward and has no reverse setting. (you shouldn't really take off tough fasteners with a torque wrench anyway) It is calibrated when you get it and has a blown mold case that doesn't take up more room than it needs to. It comes with instructions or kindling for your fireplace if you aren't into that stuff. One of the nicest features of this style torque wrenches is that you do not need to 'unload' it or set it to zero after each use. Some people don't know this but most clicker style torque wrenches should be unloaded prior to storage to keep their calibration. On this one, it doesn't matter either way. If you are always putting on aluminum wheels at 100 foot lbs for example, leave it set to 100 foot lbs. (I do this) For the price, the quality is amazing. The Snap-On one comes in bright green or orange and this one is always blue. It says made in USA just like the Snap-On and works very well. Use the money you save or beer or bandaids for your busted knuckles you get from drinking beer and working on cars.

## Features

- The length also provides the needed reach for those-hard-to-get-at places.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: is this a fixed head or ratchet head if so can the ratchet be reversed**
A: Man, there is a LOT of erroneous and bad information in these answers. This wrench happens to be a forward only ratcheting torque wrench. Whoever says you don’t need to torque in reverse must have never done multi step torquing with verification torques in reverse. There are MANY ratcheting torque wrenches, even split beams, that have reverse. My 3/8” and 1/2” Snap-On’s both do. Look them up if you don’t believe me. Snap-On Tqfr250 And Tqfr100A. A&S’s Dad’s come t is absolutely correct. Also, if your wrench is made to reverse, you can use it in reverse without it needing re-calibrated. We get ours re-calibrated annually at work in accordance with equipment and automotive standards.

**Q: 15 to 150 ft lbs i don't see anything in this range...?**
A: The display has a range from 20-250 lbs. I do not know how to send you a photo. You can see this link https://detail.1688.com/pic/529475661715.html?spm=a261y.7663282.1998411378.1.78d5306eyDjbY3

**Q: Does it measure degrees for tty bolts?**
A: No. It's a good reliable mechanical wrench, not a Snap-on TechAngle model. Get yourself a head bolt angle gauge, use it properly, and save a lot of money.

**Q: Does it come with a case**
A: Yes, it had a black plastic case when I received it. If you need, I can email you the photos.
