Unless you're serving at a "moon dust" desert FOB or you're an Arctic explorer, just go ahead and use this on any and all firearm bearing surfaces. Stays put, has excellent lubricity even when almost worn off (due to the PTFE), and really does prevent wear and corrosion. Use liberally on M-14 rollers, use sparingly on 1911 lube points, use any old amount on Glock rails, and slather a bunch in your AR buffer tube to entirely dampen the 'Sproing" next to your cheek on firing. A light coating on AR BCGs makes carbon cleanup easier. Smooths trigger pulls in almost any weapon when applied to sears/disconnectors/trigger bars, etc. Do wear gloves or use an applicator: it will dry out your skin.
