I'd tried a couple of the turban-type things and found they did not work for me--my hair seemed to be much more tangled after use (although they are convenient). I decided that I would prefer to use a towel and purchased this one. It's great! My hair is dry-ish, tends to get tangled, and is below-shoulder-length. This towel is large and soft and easily wraps all my hair in a snug yet gentle embrace. There is a rather large loop at the middle edge of the towel that allows me to tuck the ends in without having to twist it and so increase tangles. The absorbency is super (it washes well in cold or warm water, no fabric softener, and I hang it to dry) and when I remove it, I can let it remain draped over my shoulders to absorb anything I spray on after shampooing.
