I pluged my old 8.0 beast in with the Mini PCI-E Adapter pluged ito the converter and like majic my gpu fired up and ran like a charm. I guess the Beast 8.5 and M.2 cable is on it's way back. Good thing cause the seller soaked me for it. Picked this converter up for about $45 less. If your exp gdc beast 8.5 M.2 version won't work use the old 8.0 PCI-E cable and dock with this converter. To be fair, I’m not sure if it was a product defect or my own mistake—maybe I didn’t connect it properly, or perhaps the adapter itself was faulty. While it worked, it did what it was supposed to do, but there are other alternatives out there.
