Review: Works great for portable retro game projects - Albeit a little small, this screen does it's job and is super easy to install (Although if you want to use it with a Pi 0 non-w version, then things might get complicated). Additionally, there is a website (lcdwiki.com) available that contains lots of information and detailed guide on how to get this display to work in a variety of conditions (Various OSes, different pis, even has prebuilt images) that I found super helpful. Will definitely consider buying this screen again for future portable projects
Review: Spiffy Touchscreen for an old pi - This is a nifty little touch screen. The stylus makes me think of the original Nintendo DS or a Palm Pilot. The installation scripts are straight-forward and easy to run. I tried Mate desktop and it seemed to work fairly good. The touch input is best with the stylus. I started writing my own touchscreen programs in Python, using the TKinter library. My laptop also has a touch screen, so I can prototype scripts by setting the resolution accordingly (PORTRAIT == 320x480 or LANDSCAPE==480x320). Then I git pull the script to my pi and it works fairly well. I do notice that sometimes it will abruptly shutdown, my guess is it's getting warm, there are 2 pins on the back of the screen for a fan. I need to look into a case that will accommodate both the screen, and it's 90 degree fan pins. EDIT: I forgot to mention, the screen doesn't fully take up all of the GPIO pins. Out of the 40, 14 remain (the last 7 rows on the left, if you're facing the Pi's GPIO pins. That's pins 27 - 40 that you'll still have available for use. Those are the following: 27: SDA0 28: SLC0 29: GPIO5 30: GND 31: GPIO6 32: GPIO12 33: GPIO13 34: GND 35: GPIO19 36: GPIO16 37: GPIO26 38: GPIO20 39: GND 40: GPIO21

## Features

- The 3.5 in Touch Screen can support two screens simultaneous display(the Raspberry Pi can be connected to this screen and another HDMI screen at the same time).
- This 3.5 inch resistive Touch Screen can be directly inserted into any version of the Raspberry Pi (Raspberry Pi zero, zero w, a, A+, b, B+, 2B, 3B, 3B+).Raspberry Pi is not included.
- This Touch Screen Support for Raspbian/Ubuntu/Kali/RETROPIE systems, We provide drivers and image freely. (Please scan the QR code on the instruction to download it)
- The Raspberry Pi screen can work with fbcp software driver, you can adjust the resolution by the software (The RPI screen original resolution is 320×480).
- The Raspberry Pi Display support 125MHz SPI signal input, It can display stable without Flicker. When it work with Raspberry Pi, the refresh rate is about 50fps, it is enough to play the video and game.

A: Hi yes, it support pi 4.

**Q: Ran this for a day before shutting it down, runs so hot with screen plugged in, memory chip and cpu chip so hot to smelling electronic burning?**
A: The Raspberry Pi still needs to add heat sinks. It can also lead the screen out through the cable, and then add a fan to the Raspberry Pi to dissipate heat.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Updating your pi will keep this from working, hopefully I just saved you some hair pulling.
*by D***H on September 13, 2020*

I followed all the steps and it worked great, then I would update my Pi0w and it would stop working, turns out the most recent build (as of a month or two ago) would stop the screen from working and I would have to do all my work to try and fix it through SSH. I would hold off on using "sudo apt update" on a fresh Pi project if you're using this screen. Hopefully this information is out of date and everything is working, but I spent three days trying to get mine to work for it to be the updates that was making the screen go black. It's a great little screen for what I needed it for, which was a little portable word processor for my wife.
