A year later, I decided to try keeping freshwater clams. First step, remove the copper. I put one small bag of cuprisorb in the filter and let it run for three weeks. The water is testing zero amounts of copper after three weeks. I did not think copper can be removed from this system due to the expanded clay media in the Duo Filter. But it worked. This product is effective.
