This relaxer turned my hair a dark gold. Had to use violet shampoo, let it stay in my hair for 15 minutes. Done with the hair dryer now. It is mold, and go with gels. I do use protein conditioner. If you want a gentle straightener, use the Brazilian. Just comb through, and time for 10 min., unless your hair is thin. When my hair was long, I never sectioned off. Just combed product from scalp to about 4". Your hair is stronger in this area. Always start a new product with less time than noted. Violet shampoo will counteract brassiness.
