Teak and other oily woods will never hold a finish such as varnish because of the nature of the wood. Your never going to win so stop trying. Reading their instructions is a tutorial on caring for the teak on your boat. After reading what they had to say I was going to give it a try. I ordered the kit and they sent everything Ineeded. At this time I am only halfway through redoing my teak but the results are fantastic. I have a Cabo Rico with blond teak and Teak Guard keeps the blond tones and gives the boat a cleaner more open look. The process is simple, just read the directions follow them with no short cuts. Teak Guard is a logical and simple way to care for teak.
