Efficient, sturdy, gentle heat
This little heater has been a lifesaver. We are in a rental and need heat in our bathroom and bedroom at times - we aren’t used to the climate. Didn’t want to spend a lot on a product we can’t take with us. The price was right, but it’s also a gem of a heater. Although there is only an on/off button and no different settings for temp, and no cool fan, it’s nice and simple, small enough to fit in small spaces. The heat it puts out is gentle, not a blast of too-hot air. It heats up the room and makes no noise. Sturdy base. Closing the door to the room means a few minutes later you will have a softly warm room. I plan to get more when I return to my permanent home.

Tiny but mighty!
I started working from home durning the summer. Set myself up in a little corner of my bedroom since it's quieter than anywhere else throughout the day with people coming and going. TV's/phones/tablets blaring all kinds of things. It's worked really well. HOWEVER, it is now November in Oregon and it never dawned on my that it would be so cold sitting so close to the window. I had one of those tower plug in heaters from years ago when our furnace died in the middle of the winter but it felt like it was blowing cold air on me. I considered hanging a heavy blanket up but that would be ugly. I know myself and that wouldn't have lasted long. I had been looking at little heaters for a few weeks never really coming to a decision but yesterday I was freezing! I'm on Zoom calls all day so I must have looked mental trying to keep my hands warm. I looked at the "cute" ones but reviews were love it or hate it. In the end, no ones going to see it, this one will store easier being a boxy shape. The final decision maker was paying the extra $3 and it was delivered a few hours later. There's a distribution warehouse in my small city and now there's a massive gazillion square foot warehouse about 20 miles away. Not sure if it's up and running yet, not that it matters for this purpose. I plugged it in and there was instant heat. There was a slight smell but that burnt off in a matter of minutes. I've picked it up to move it and the safety switch immediately turned it off. I'm happy with my decision. Like most reviews though, I wish there were temperature setting. Even a low and high would be nice but for the price, I can't complain.

Absolutely perfect for my needs.
This is really a near-perfect little heater for me. I can put this under, or on my desk, without risking my papers (or legs) bursting into flames. The heat it puts out is pretty amazing, so you need to keep everything at least 12 to 18 inches from it’s face, or it will get blazing hot in no time. It only draws 500 Watts, so I don’t have to worry that much about it overloading my circuit, like even a 1500 Watt iron or blow dryer can. Usually people that are going to use this on or under their desk will already have lots of things plugged in. The appearance is awesome. I’m a big fan of retro stuff (probably because I grew up in the 1960’s), and the plain grill works for me. I also like the single switch, which is located on the back, out of sight. All you see is the clean lines of the side case, and the grill. No temperature control, but if I want heat, I want heat. When it’s warm enough, I turn it off. Easy peasy. I tested the bottom safety switch, and of course it works perfectly. If the heater gets knocked over, it immediately shuts off. This is because if the airflow is blocked on one side or the other from tipping over, the heating element would get red hot and could possibly start a fire. No chance of any accidents like that happening with this safety switch. I also love how small it is. For the amount of heat it puts out, it’s pretty incredible, and I can put it in a suitcase if I want to travel with it, or even a briefcase if I want to take it to work. Hope this helps.

Warming up to it... (Update)
(Update) I'm warming up to it now having moved it from underneath my desk to another place to the side. I've actually moved it a couple of places around my place and it's kind of becoming my new best friend. I do appreciate the safety feature underneath it that way if it falls forward it won't continue to operate. I do stand by my suggestion that they put graduating heat settings on it rather than just the one setting, but I understand for the price point that's what you're going to get. The biggest suggestion I could make, if they were to create a new model, would be to move where they OFF and ON button is because it's on the back, down at the bottom in the center, so you literally have to turn around the heater which means touching it and getting close to the heat to turn it off. I considered returning it before but it's proving to be useful and for the price point and the energy saving at 500 watts, you can't beat it. But again, this heater will probably get too hot to be placed right by your feet like say you're trying to hide it in an office space. In other words; it puts off a great deal of heat so depending on where you need to place it and whether or not you need it to be discreet and really close, or you're looking for something that puts off more heat that you can use to heat a small space will determine if this is the right heater for you. It is a good little heater that puts off a good amount of heat, and it's relatively quiet. My previous review titled, "One Setting - HOT"... This is a great little 500 watt heater puts off a tremendous amount of heat, so if you wanted to use this for a small space sitting it far away from you, this would be a great heater, and I highly recommend it for that situation. But in close proximity on top of your desk, or under your desk (which is what I needed for my feet because I have a desk placed in a cold corner of my house), you're going to get overwhelmed with heat. The other bad thing is; there's only one very heat setting, AND the button is on the BACK of the heater at the bottom, so you literally have to put your hand all the way around it to turn it around and turn it off. Ergonomically, it would be much better placed on top or on the side for easy access. Having a LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH setting with a more conveniently placed placed ON and OFF button would take this heater from good, to out of this world.

Perfect
Absolutely perfect. Small. Quiet. Undetectable. And emits just the right amount of enough heat for a small cubicle

Cute, effective, often on discount
TL/DR: Quick heating, quick to cool down, has a minimal footprint, and at 500 watts it hasn’t blown my fusebox yet like my oil filled radiator heater is wont to do. It’s obviously underpowered for bigger rooms and/or distances, so it’s on you to know what you are really looking for in a space heater. ---- I picked up this little dynamo on Prime Big Deals Day or whatever-it-was-called, in October 2023. If you don’t need it right this second, you can probably get it delivered for less than an Andrew Jackson. I think that after you count out purchasers who are using this heater for their personal workplace space, the next biggest category of buyers might turn out to be those who want to take a bit of the winter chill off of popping into the shower. Why? Maybe, for example, they live with a family member who tends to run about 20 degrees warmer than themselves, the sort of individual who goes sleeveless in winter, on a snow day, and they accommodate that co-habitant’s needs by keeping the thermostat low and wearing sweaters. But for a few activities, showering being among these, they prefer a bit more warmth in the room. Who knows? I’m just speculating. If that’s your idea for this heater, however, you should be aware that the instructions in the box caution against using the heater in a bathroom, or any room where there is running water, or where water might run from one place to another, or maybe in the same general place. A laundry room, for example. In this litigious society, I’m not about to suggest that this prohibition is overly broad or more about protecting the vendor/manufacturer than about preservation of common-sense product utility. That would be an unwise speculation on my part. I will say that a hypothetical user of this space heater, employing a modicum of common sense, keeping the bathroom sink securely off and towels away from this unit, might well enjoy a higher degree of personal safety than another, again hypothetical, office worker with a messy desk full of papers and an overflowing trash can. If this second hypothetic user, additionally, has a Big Gulp ™ with a loose lid on the desk near the heater, I’d say that the situation would be even more dire! 4.5 stars. 3 stars for heat output in absolute terms, not that you necessarily need a blast furnace for every use case. 1 star for temperature control. The on/off button is the temperature control. Four stars for safety, not that Amazon asked me to rate that one. I don't consider any space heater particularly "safe" but ceramic is certainly relatively safe and the little prongy thing on the bottom that turns the unit off if it doesn't touch an unyielding surface is a very good idea, one that will hopefully keep folks from trying to run it sitting on a nice combustible quilt, or something. I call mine “Peanut Hamper”. Viva La Cerritos!* *If you know, you know.

Decent but burn hazard for kids or those not paying attention
So I love my personal space heaters. I had one like this years ago and I gave it away when I left my office job. I was excited to find this again for sure. What I like......... 1. The size is great, it doesn't take up much space and is nice looking. 2. This is super quiet ALMOST silent so it's not disturbing at all. 3. It does have a safety button underneath to shut it off just incase it tips over. 4. The cord is a generous length 5. The heat is very very hot. I didn't take a temp reading but it's hotter than my bigger ones. 6. Even brand new there is no burning smell while it's running. 7. There is a nice subtle red indicator light on the right side to let you know it's powered on. What I don't care for...... 1. Safety. While it does have the shutoff tip option, the front grill is metal and not plastic like my other heaters. The metal gets HOT and is enough to burn you if it's touched. This is especially bad if children use this. 2. There are not temp settings which means no dial to control anything BUT I understand because it's a cheap heater. Just putting it out there. 3. The power switch is on the back of the unit. This is fine for turning it on but after the front grill is lit up and burning hot you then burn your fingers because you need 2 hands to spin it and shut it off. If the button was on the top it would be fine. 4. Air flow is not very strong being it's only 1 speed but as I said in #5 above the heat is hotter than others I've had so it's a trade off. Recommendation: This is for older teenagers and adults and great for sitting at your keyboard to keep your hands warm. This will not heat up a room. Small children should NOT use this. The front grill is too much of a burn hazard on skin. If you are cold at work in your office this is perfect because no one will see or hear it. You just have to hope you don't pop the breaker from the amp draw. I would buy it again for ME but I won't be getting one for my daughter. It's not meant for kids.

Powerful li’l guy!
Mighty little beast! This heater warms up a room as well as a much larger space heater I already had. This one, however, doesn’t have the nasty smell when I first turn it on like my other one. This one is cute, quiet and quickly warms me up. It auto-stops when I pick it up to move it, which is a nice safety measure. Great purchase!
