It says it's compatible with the power city trains but the tracks are too wide for them and they get stuck in the openings in the tracks. which work?

Is this like the girder and panel set I had in the 1960s?

I don’t no I gave it to my grandson for Christmas he had one my husband bought him 2or 3 years before which was a bridge and turnpike set he said he love it and thought he could connect them. Hope this helps
