The 3 levels of light are a great help. It's made a big difference, can work in dim light and the work stands out a lot easier. No negatives. Have not needed the ruler measurements but a good idea. It's useful to have the felt cover to protect it.

This is a fabulous & easy to use tracing aid; fantastic for helping the kids to trace over & learn to write letters & words for example. It’s really light in weight & can be placed either directly on your lap, or on the table whilst you trace/draw. It is so simple to use, with just one power-on button (though it has 3 different brightness settings). This device is only a light-source (a flat torch I suppose), used for tracing (like old-fashioned style tracing) your desired pictures/photos/images etc. You just place the ‘original’ image that you want to trace (face-up) directly on-top of this light tablet, then place a blank piece of paper (or fabric…) directly on-top of the original image/picture/photo etc. Because the light from this light tablet shines up through BOTH the ‘original’ image & the blank paper/fabric upon which you are tracing, you will be able to see the ‘original’ image/picture much more clearly & so be able to draw (trace) really easily. This light tablet is like a ‘flat torch’ & it’s only purpose is to shine light up through an ‘original’ image & a piece of blank paper/fabric upon which you want to trace, thus making it much easier to see & draw! The flat ‘torch-like’ light source makes the blank paper/fabric & ‘original’ picture/image kind of see-through if you get what I mean. It doesn’t do anything else at all, other than enable you to trace images more readily. The USB cable is ONLY the power source for this light tablet; to power it…you connect it to a device such as a laptop or a computer using the USB cable. However, this connection does NOT allow the light tablet to ‘communicate’ with other devices or the internet. So, you CANNOT upload/download/send/receive/save images to or from other devices or via the internet using this light tablet; it is just a light source, nothing more nothing less.

It arrived well packaged, no damage and the item was better than expected. I have recently started sketching and freehand was becoming a hindrance as I want to really work on my lack of shading skills and it seemed pointless shading something that was out of proportion. This throws more than enough light through the paper to enable a solid base trace I'm pretty sure that the more I use this the better understanding of proportion will be evident in my future freehand sketches. It's lightweight but not flimsy, I run it off a power bank and it honestly doesn't drain the power quickly. I haven't used it for a couple of hours at a time, my needs are around twenty to thirty minutes. Excellent product and definitely worth it.

I love the light box. It shows up even the faintest of colour on the paper underneath and allows me to copy things to paint easily

Bought for Granddaughter for use when at ours, she loves it. We Bought her one for home previously but that one didn't have the felt storage case or the crayons in like this one.

Very happy with my purchase as it is ideal for what I wanted which was to provide a backlight for displaying a piece of antique paper with a watermark that has a personal interest. Buyers should be aware however that this item is a bit fussy about it's power supply. When plugged in to a laptop or PC USB point it is quite happy and works as advertised, however, it does not like some USB power supplies. I'm not entirely sure why but it works with some sources and not with others, possibly an issue with the configuration of the pins in the power source, as it is not dependent upon the amperage rating of the output used.

I had some hopes for this but at the same time keeping in mind how much I paid for it. If you use 80gsm printer paper to trace from with well defined outlines and are using 120gsm to trace on to, then you will be fine. I used 120gsm with hefty ink coverage onto 180gsm art paper and it struggled. The 250gsm top sheet was impossible to see through. A real shame in lots of ways as the design of it is great, it is nice & light and portable. If you know its limitations then it will serve you well.

La compré para poder calcar diseños en mis telas de bordado y cumple perfectamente su funcion. Me daba miedo que la intensidad de luz no fuese suficiente porque la tela siempre es mas gordita que un folio, pero pasa la luz perfectamente entre el folio con el diseño y la tela. Esta caja de luz es mas cara que otras pero merece la pena, ademas es finita y no pesa nada. Muy contento.

This is a great transfer light for calligraphy. Transfers work great. Bright light has 3 different light brightness. I recommend this light, great value.

Regalo di Natale per nostra figlia... con l'uso quotidiano ha migliorato le sue qualità di "artista"... visto che le piace molto disegnare. Utile anche in campo scuola, come per esempio riprodurre su quaderno le cartine delle regioni Italiane... senza l'uso della classica carta trasparente
