OMG! I have some dry crusty calluses on both feet--the heels and on both big toes. They have been there for a long time too while I have tired various methods to minimize them. Forget the creams and lotions, even the exfoliating ones just didn't do much. I had a pumice stone too and would use it in the shower after my feet had soaked for awhile. Some pumice stones don't have a handle, though, and this foot file does. Also, tried one of those metal grater type foot files, yeah you need to be careful you don't get overly zealous and damage your feet with those. As for this file it is double-sided. It has a raised bumpy side for more serious exfoliation and a smooth side for buffing. Hey, you can use it on dry feet too. I have used it on damp feet as well after soaking in the tub or taking a shower when my skin is softened. When I use it on dry feet I do so before taking a shower. This will really take off the dead skin and since there can be lots of dry skin flakes coming off you might want to do this over a bath-tub so you don't have dry skin flakes all over your floor. I rinse the file off with water and use a little liquid soap to clean it when I am finished using it. Depending on how thick your calluses are it may take several times to completely rid them so just be patient. I am working on a corn between my toes and the buffing side is doing a pretty good job of getting rid of it, better than the medicated corn pads I used. I wash my feet after use and dry them then apply a good foot cream and socks. Just remember persistence and patience are the key. I've found it to be a good size for maneuvering around my feet. Just wish I had found it sooner.

This really is the best foot file I have ever used. It removes lots of callus without leaving skin raw. Doesn't rust or mildew in shower. You won't be disappointed!

Love it. Grt the job done. I juat wish it had the rough side on both sides. I don't really care for the smooth side much.

This is the best foot tool out there if you want to have smooth soft feet. It's sturdy and takes off layers of dead skin from the bottom of your feet. I have been using this for years. Its easy to clean and last quite a while.

This is just a good roughness and will take the hard skin off while leaving a nice feel afterwards. The metallic nature of the unit will allow this to work, I would think, for many many years. It is also easy to clean because of this as well. Well worth the buy.

Wow!! This foot file is amazing quality:) I am a nail tech and believe you me this file is professional grade. My feet have been unbelievably dry and cracked-go figure and I haven't been able to clear it up for over 2 years now. I use the foot file on clean dry heels/feet (after shower or bath) and then apply the footlogix mousse (athlete's feet version- sneaky suspicion this could be dryness culprit and treating it 'as it's for the dryness etc. So far so good! It's only been close to a week but crossing my fingers this it the treatment protocol. Be careful though file is sharp on coarse side!
