Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: Siege Leader Class WFC-S14 Shockwave Action Figure

This item arrived early. Great Updated Shockwave figure for Siege. Transforms into a cool little spaceship.

I have had this guy a few years now, bought it for about 60 euro in smyths. Now how in Christ's name is this 150 pounds. That is absolutely insane, very good design and looks awesome in any mode. Yet the price is absolutely horrific, I thought this was being sold by a random dude due to the colossal price tag but nope, from the official transformers store.

The best Shockwave toy I've ever own. This figure may not have the most dynamic posability out their but that's fitting for the character as a mad scientist who puts his time in his lab making Primus knows what in their. The toy is a spitting image of the original G1 style but with accessories and lovely detail to give it its own identity. The placement for the light piping is genius though I wouldn't mind a little more grime detail to give him a more intimidating appearance but overall it's a fantastic figure.

Shockwave ist fast genau so groß wie Ultra Magnus. Auch er kommt mit gutem Zubehör. Interessant ist die Tatsache das wenn man ihn lose verwandelt und ihn dann umdreht er fast so aussieht wie sein Original aus G1. Ansonsten kann ich nur sagen das er mir sehr gut gefällt.

Shockwave, whose myriad incarnations display a wide-ranged spectrum of loyalties to Megatron, has been immortalized in many different figures over nearly 4 decades. Takaratomy and Hasbro have provided versions that tease us into hoping for a definitive mainline version but this Siege figure has come the closest if you discount the Masterpiece figures. Robot mode is very reminiscent of the original G1 figure, with the gun barrel neatly folding over as a backpack, instead of the original loose part-former gun remnant needing to magically disappear. The official alt mode is a space battleship ala Star Blazers when you add the flying sled pieces. If you omit the supplemental battleship parts and put the battleship upside down, you see that the designers surreptitiously gave fans a pretty darn good off-label G1 alt-mode while dodging the wrath of the overly protective and their lawyers. With inflation, Transformers seem to be shrinking in relationship to their class. This "Leader" class figure is the height of a small Voyager figure. I suppose the many plastic sled parts add to the plastic volume. Nonetheless Siege Shockwave scales very well with the fellow Siege figures of Megatron, Soundwave, and the Seekers. While I've never owned a G1 Shockwave, this figure does stir some nostalgia for the charm of the beautiful original toy.
