Purchased these for an acoustic to electronic conversion. So far they are working out well. Good quality for the price.

Thought it was a 2 ply. It was not.

These Evan Drum Heads are exactly what your looking for if you want a high quality product that are very quiet and at an affordable price.

Quiet but also allowed me to get some snare sound, which is exactly what I wanted. The head is durable and has a lot of reaction to it.

This is what a true "SoundOff" should be like. The action on it isn't 100% that of a real snare head, but its about 98% there and much better than the rubber mute pads you can put on a drum. The only negative thing is that if you want to play the kit you have to switch out the heads, but given the fact that this thing feels great and is incredibly quiet that is a price I'm willing to pay.

I needed to trigger electronic sounds from my snare and purchased this Evans db Zero! I couldn't believe the great muted sound, real-feel sensitivity and durability of this head whether you are using for practice or converting to a hybrid e-kit, this Evans mesh head is the answer!

I bought the Evans out of many available because I trusted the name from past purchases. This mesh head is thin....and yes, I could see that before purchase, but the problem is it's VERY bouncy no matter what tension I use, and feels nothing like a real snare drum head. It's basically a stick trampoline, but you get used to it I guess and it does work better than a real head for triggering. Assembly quality was LOW, cheap rim and glue coming out in places, one lump I had to cut off with a knife because it was hitting the rim. I will go back to multi-ply next purchase. Meh.

It's durable, bouncy and super fun to play.

Previously, I was using a drum practise pad that was just sitting on my snare, but it still felt very dead compared to the bounce from a proper skin. So I bought this, in the hopes I'd get the rebound - and yes, it's much better. Volume is obviously a bit higher than the pad, but as long as I keep the snare wires off, it's still not loud enough to bother others in the house. Mesh heads, and Centren low volume cymbals have revolutionised my practise, and my relationship with the neighbours!

Non c'è molto da dire, una eccellente pelle. La ho messo da tre mesi e serve ancora come il primo giorno e suona quasi ogni giorno.
